As A Little Child

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Expect ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:1-2). This is how Jesus characterized conversion. Like the Beatitudesc, it pictures faith as the simple, helpless, trusting dependence of those who have no resources of their own. Like children, they have no achievements and accomplishments to offer or commend themselves with. We likewise must be willing to become just as the Word of God states here.

As little children who're in need of the blessed provisions of our loving heavenly Father. But, how does one do so? Jesus Christ make this very clear within the pages of the Word of God so there's no excuse we can give. As a little child. This is the position we each must take when coming to the Lord Jesus Christ as lost sinners in need of salvation.

The Words of Jesus Christ spoken to those asking the question; Who will be the greatest in the Kingdom? His reply was; And Jesus said .... Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and give his life a ransom for many (Matthew 18:3-4; 20:25-28).

There are many here within this present dark world system who'll seek to mislead those who're faithfully living a disciplined Kingdom Lifestyle in Jesus Christ. As a little child. These individuals will have to answer to the, Lord Jesus Christ, before, as well as, upon His soon return. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! (Matthew 18:5-7).

As a little child we should ensure we're leading a humble lifestyle of faithful commitment in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. This short blog post is meant to encourage each of us to daily seek after the Lord's will for our life. But, first of all, we've got to be as a little child to receive the Lord God's very best.
